It would be the same hotel company and the same return flight. We asked if we could change hotel, even suggested if we could be moved to the other Viva Wyndham resort in Playa Dorada in Puerto Plata. After the first week we met with our Transat representative and explained the situation, which he was aware from previous comments. From early morning to late evening, sometimes until pass midnight, from inside our room we could hear everything and everyone. Being in the main building the lobby is open right up to the third floor where the Theatre is located.

Even while watching the TV during late evening was a problem.

We could not sit on our balcony and relax with a glass of wine because of the loud music. Our ocean view room was very nice but we could hear all the time the loud music, the bingo games, the karaoke shows. There is no peace and quiet, no Zen space to relax, none. And during the week-ends, it is even worse with the loud music when the locals come to stay for the week-end. You must know that area is very busy all day long and evening with activities and loud music. All Ocean View rooms are facing the main pool where all activities are taking place. We were in a Superior Ocean View room, located in the main building, 2nd floor, just above the bar area. Because of strong winds in the afternoon, the ocean is not ideal for swimming. It’s a nice hotel, the only all-inclusive in Cabarete, situated on a real nice beach, ideal for long walks, watching the kite-boarders and plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. To put context for my review my husband and I are 69 and 66 years old. Stayed at the Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete for two weeks (April 11-25, 2023).
